On the inside I would remove and launder all the fabric items, like mattress covers, curtains, basically anything that is fabric likes to absorb "boaty" smells.

I just stripped everything fabric...

Ah, no worries. A generator is on our to-do list for 2020. Right now we're not off the hook enough to have constant ac be a priority.

How did you get the ac to run that way? Do you have a soft start system on it? What's the size of your inverter? We have 700 watts of solar and a 3k inverter and I am wondering how to run the 16k...
