Good points! And I agree that the 'authenticity" of such records is much in the eye and mind of the observer. She has set herself a goal, a rather difficult goal and has striven towards it...

Yep, possibly exacerbated by UV damage to the stitching. But she has mentioned tears recently,and I hope that she knows the difference between actual cloth failure and stitching failure... I reckon...

Agreed. But I wonder why she is not anchoring... it's much easier to anchor solo than to pick up an unknown mooring solo. And also, why not run the engine for the maneuver if using the mooring? She...

From conversations a few days back now, her sail repair is complete. The sticking point is getting the sail slides (Strong track brand) fed back into the mast. She feels that she needs flat water and...

To be a little more specific, she said she was abeam the cape and turning N. Looking at the MSLs, she should have lighter but favorable winds for a while. Should give her some time to finish tidying...

It is interesting to compare Jeanne with our other friend, Susanne Huber-Curphey and her yacht Nehaj.

Instead of entering the GGR, she entered the French event, the Longue Route which was set up...
