Maybe its my age but I'm surprised that people don't understand when they put real personal thoughts out there for everyone to read that just maybe, in the right circumstances, it might some day bite...

Wasn't second guessing Eric's decision, he's an individual and free to make whatever decisions he wishes to. I was simply saying what my decision would have been in a similar situation.

Frankly if his daughter is better now or at least out of harms way why wouldn't he simply sail the boat somewhere??

When it comes to speculation the news is just about as bad as sailing forums, lol. Good to hear the baby appears to be on the mend and everyone is safe.
