The Ericson 27 keel is totally encapsulated. No keel bolts. What you see is where a lifting ring was located to lower the lead keel into the pocket.

Hard to tell from that distance. The total height needs to be under 13' 6" unless it takes alternate routes to accommodate taller loads. The boat should be strapped down to meet DOT regulations....

I use the Milwaukee 28v right angle drill with winch bit to raise my 40ft. deck stepped mast every spring. I also run it in reverse for slow speed. I used to crank by hand but I'm getting too old...
