Hi Richard..
Thanks for writing..
The military was I must confess a family thing going back in time.. 150yrs of it was in India and Burma.
My time was somewhat less glorious being in a time of peace... Thankfully.
However I did share Sean Connery's experience in that I was a bit of a bad boy off duty which brought me in front of the 1st Leiutenants desk more than once for remonstration..
But that was the RN back then.. we worked hard and played harder..
Also.. serving on a destroyer called HMS Dainty did bring some provocative comments from other ships crews.. lol.
Sorry, haven't been online for a while. In the profile picture that is the old boat, painted (and re-painted about every 5 years or so). But, we have the same graphic on the new boat in vinyl. It's been on the boat 2 years and so far is looking just fine. We went with a clear vinyl that is stencil cut (there's about a 1 cm margin around all the colored bits). The clear margin so far remains clear.
Shoot me an e-mail address by PM and I can send some pictures along with the details on the vinyl we used.
I looked at several charter cats but the ones there were asking too much. A few were out on charter so I didn't get to look at every boat I wanted to see. I found that Leopard's represent about 1/4th the cats you see in the BVI. My plan is to buy a cat out of charter. There was not one charter cat I saw that was in poor condition.
