Hi Paul:
I am redesigning my Nav station and one of my instruments is a Ample battery monitor. I have the manual but you'd have to be a scientist to be able to make sense out of that. Who is Peukert?......
I have never been able to calibrate that instrument - are there any hints you can give me. I have 4 gel batteries with a total of 298 amps. I also have solar panels but they are hooked up to their individual charger/monitor and that charger is directly linked to the batteries.
Do I need to discharge the batteries first to be able to calibrate the monitor?
Hope you can help
Thanks
Jan

Hello Paul,
I am friends with the guy that started the thread "Need some help" a couple of days ago. He has a 36' Piver Trimiran that due to health reasons he had to leave in NewPort News. He is in St.Pete Fl, and his doctor won't let him travel. He is a retired vet and can work due to a car accident. He is in need of a low cost slip or even a mooring till he can get a release from his doctor. It could well turn into winter storage. I am up in Annapolis and have offered to move the boat for him, but we have to find a spot. I rememebered your name after I saw a web page for Crown Point Marina in HAYES,VA.
Any suggestions?
Would sure appreciate any ideas!
Thanks
