I was banned for six months for suggesting that JohnCT had no marine batteries, hence my absence. Just curious, but he seems to be gone as well. Wha happened?
Question, which do you prefer more your Islander or the Columbia and why? If you could do a raised deck islander 30 or your Columbia 29 is what I am getting at.
hi there,
I just read your post that you have couple of jib sails for a C&c 40,
I bought a 1981 C&c 40 tall rig, wondering if you still have them and how much your looking to get
Cheers

newhaul;
Thanks for the reply, Rob. Water is coming through the tank discharge so it is getting through the membrane; however, it may be partially clogged. I just cleaned the pressure relief valve and it seems seems to be ok. There is no brine water coming out and causing the pressure build up and I think that is controlled by the spool valve which I cannot figure how to remove and they say it can only be handled by Katadyne who will no longer work on them. I think I'll try some miratic acid in it to see if it will help. I haven't quite given up on repairing mine but I will keep you in mind. I couldn't find a tellie in the member list. Do you know what company he is with or how to find him? Thanks again, Ron Stewart SV Eowyn
I have circulation on my Ps35 when the wash head is in place. BUT when put the regular head on, it builds up enough pressure to nearly stop the motor and pops the circuit breaker. There is no brine flow but the tank discharge which usually spits has a steady flow for a minute or more after it shuts off. I think this may be a faulty spool valve. Do you have any experience on this?
Well, we disagree, but thanks for the word, gimbal. I could not remember it for the life of me. Maybe my friends and I are over cautious, but we are alive (most of us). BTW, how is the Bahama? Have not sailed one since the 70's -not that I would not have been very pleased to have one at various times since.
