    Hi Edsailing,
See you are online. I am a dutchman. Just new groupmember. Some questions:
-How to load a profile picture?
-Is there any interest in my sailingtrip around UK last year,
-I am a CAL39 owner, is ther a socialgroup of boatowners?
    Regards

Sounds like the British summer. We're off on a short hop to Eastbourne this w/e with the yacht club for BBQ/dinner and a talk from Tom Cunliffe. I'm on leave for the next 2 weeks and it looks like summer may get here at last so we should get some sailing in.
    Take care,
    Kevin

    hi Ed,
Sorry I haven't been on here for a while. Been far too busy. We've replaced the mainsheet traveller and restored it to a normal set-up now. Haven't had a chance to do much sailing though as I seem to be working on the rare days the sun shines and the gales take a rest. I'm still waiting for a transfer for my work so am still driving 90 miles and 3 hours a shift. This is taking most of the money set aside for boat work at the moment. I'm still investigating the fuel problem but at least the main hatch doesn't squeal anymore.
    Hope all is well.
    Kevin

    Hi Edsailing,
somewhere in this cruising forum I read that you have experience with AIS connection to Open CPN with the Nasa AIS Engine.
I just installed Open CPN. The connection with the GPS was ready in notime.
But the connection to AIS does not work.
May I explain the situation first?
I work with a laptop with XP. The connection between the the AIS engine en the laptop is vis a serial-to-USB cable (Tweex).
When I connect via the buttons on top of the Open CPN screen tha system says: "Cannot open AIS port COM". Suggestion: try to close other applications".
Well, I am shure that is the right Com-port and no other applications than Open CPN are active.
Are you able to help me with this problem?
    Kind regards,
    Wim Havers
