    Hi
Couldn't find any other way to waste more money on the T-Bucket, so a while back we bought a little Formosa 30 ketch.
Anyway, there's a lot of pompous pontificating on this thread "Channel 13: Absolute Must" regarding COLREGS and such, and since you've been on both sides, I thought you might like to weigh in.

    Hello DeckOfficer,
I have been reading through your posts (and several other copious trolls ) of the electric propulsion on a cat list. A, thankyou for being a proponent of non-fossil-fuel options and B), go get em ! hahaha. I'm not sure if you've been following, but in the last few month, advances have been made to literally triple solar efficiency by using multiple layers for diff wavelengths, though it will be some years to hit the market I'm sure. I will post some links later on this thread when the wine has worn off and I've gotten through all the pages Your technical expertise seems to be quite extensive in the electric and boating fields. Are there any references you might recommend of each for current information ?

Keep fighting the good fight, and remember, the disbelievers have simply lost their dreams and should be pitied (and blocked on the internet for sanity reasons) !

    Hey Deckofficer:
Where did you get all your sea time for the any ocean, any tonnage? Just curious. I know you don't come out of CMA with that. Also, did you know any of the SF Barpilots?

Deckofficer - Yes, the SC50 is indeed a nice cruising boat. And I have her quite light. A little extra light today as I just converted the old VW diesel into a mooring. New diesel arrives on a ship next week. My long Pacific cruise distances call for a diesel.

My previous boat, now for sale, was a Cal 36. Many friends back in California have '40s. There's a sweet Cal 48 doing dive charters here in Palau.

    Cheers
