Hi! I used to fly through much of the Caribbean and French Polynesia. I am semi-retired now (Electrical Engineer & Pharmacy). I no longer lease this aircraft for pleasure anymore. Saving up to own a used Otter, for when I retire; only $3M. Have a wonderful week! Mauritz

I can not tell you the exact part #. However I have looked at the K&N website and there is a filter for almost any size you can imagine. If I had known this before I would have bought a smaller filter. There is almost anything you might want. Start with universal clamp on style and see what you find.best regards;Mike.

Regarding an air filter for a Perkins 107. I am not able to send a picture of my install as the boat is on the other coast. However I will answer any question you might have.
    regards; Mike.

    Hi CSY Man -

Saw a posting of yours on 3/8/12 re: dock or storage in Ft Lauderdale area and your offer of contacting you if anyone was in need of advice. As it turns out, I am in need of advice...

I am in the process of purchasing a Passport 42 Cutter, currently lying in Ft Lauderdale. The boat is docked at a friend of the seller on a canal. I currently live in Dubai and I am looking to store the boat, perferably on the hard, until Jan 2014 when I (hopefully) return to the States.

If you might provide any suggestions where to look for dry storage in the area, or how to find private docking on a canal, I would very much appreciate it.

    Kind Regards,
    Don

    Hi CSY Man -

I just read one of your posts from 2003 where you recommended Darrell Brizendine in Ft Lauderdale for a marine survey. Curious on two points; one, would you still recommend him and two, would you consider forwarding me a copy of a survey that he provided you with so that I can see what I might expect should I employ his services?

I am currently considering a boat lying in Ft Lauderdale and know no one in the industry in that area, so I am looking here for advice rather than blindly picking someone from a search on Google...

Any advice/experience you might share on this note would be very much appreciated.

    Kind Regards,
    Don

Hoping you could help me get a bit of direction on a boat purchase-looking at a CSY 33 Emily,2 adults, 2 kids, be my first sail purchase. Not to live on. I've read everything I can find including all the logs from the current owner that you had several comments on. The boat has been well used since it was picked up 3 years ago, not much done to keep it up IMHO. refrigeration doesn't work, needs a bottom job, the water tank has a leak the owner was unable to identify/repair, the deck paint, bright work etc is in poor condition' needs a new jib and staysail, the engine is still the original, burns oil, and has 400+ hours on it in the last 3 years, asking price is 26k- I read a post from you stating 20-60k depending on condition. My questions are- do you think this boat would work for a family of 4; without a survey what do you think a fair offer might be; would you recommend another type of boat in a less than 40k price range(like to be under 30); I like the Bristol 29.9 too small?.

    Hey Dag,

The flying was one of those life long dreams so I decided I better have a look into some lessons. It was amazing, I loved the flying but didn't 'need' the rules and regulations! So I stopped without getting a license.
It was weird in that I was fully satiated and didn't need to dream about flying again.
I can certainly understand how it could get into your blood and be a life long adventure for some people.
The bit about 'real' was to diferentiate from my normal work as an actor where I normally just look like I'm doing the thing. It wasn't meant to read like I'm a real licensed pilot.

Dunno where the 57 nudes went. I'll have to find some more girls for photos

    All the best

Hello CSY Man. I saw your post about the spare parts for the linear drive. Any chance you might have the rod end and be willing to part with it, also known as part K067. I've already replaced the gears in the Bahamas, and now the plastic holding the ball bearing that connects the rudder quadrant has worn out and the darn thing won't stay attached. We are currently in the Dominican Republic but we'll be in Puerto Rico shortly with hopefully a shipping address. Thanks in advance if you can be any help. Also, I've enjoyed your posts over the last couple years in preparation for this trip. Cheers, Paul
