Just got back from Turkey so no weather woes for me - a bit miserable here though!

Was looking at (cheap) boats but soon relased that there's a lot of difference specification and style wise between a plastic 36 caravan and a proper boat.

Time to find someone else's toy to sail on maybe - the ARC beckons!

Forgive the personal message but I didn't want to distract attention from the thread.

Weather is probably no better but I'm actually the normally sunny Wirral - not South Yorks - but have to admit that the last few days have been a bit of an exception.

Anjou - check out Krogen sailboats on yachtworld.com - none in your area now, but - if one of them shows up on your side of the ocean, as they occasionlly do - take a look at it. They're high quality boats very reasonably priced and have beautiful classic lines. They have beautiful teak interiors that make them well worth the effort to clean up if the previous owner was a pig/jerk. They come with twin retractable keels, if you like to go into skinny water.

Their only flaw is a tendency towards blisters, which can easily be be sussed out in a survey. After a certain hull number (don't know which one) they figured that problem out.

cheers - good luck with that boat search. We're about ready to give up on the expensive boat search and purchase one of the 3 krogens on yachtworld.com. They are beauts.
