If you love something, set it free!

if it returns, it's yours forever!

Article in the BVI paper BVI Beacon!!

Look what arrived via Fed Ex today:
S/V Nicole’s Kitty!

Some may remember our “New Spin on Message in a bottle” project. The boats were all released between June 25 and June 27, 2007
Nicole's Kitty was first found by Sir Richard Branson on Necker Island, his Assistant called me about 3 weeks after returned from our BVI charter. They released the boat and it was found again on Necker and brought home by a worker frm the big Google wedding at Necker.

We built and released model sailboats with information plaques attached so the finder could contact us.
The boats started out with 8 coats of varish and colors and names chosen by the kids.

The first boat was released from Jeannius by Steffi of the Parrothead family.

The remaining boats were realeased off Anegada in this video:

Video of of racing at the pool at Leverick Bay: (give it 20+ seconds)
Oak wall mount brackets will be made this weekend so she can be displayed.
A new S/V Nicole's Kitty II may be under construction soon for June '08
charter.

We also hope to hear from finders of the 5 other boats, we hope the sailed far and may still be sailing!!

The boats were donated by: (I have no financial inrest in)

The models are T-15 racers, I upgraded the masts to Carbon Fiber and used West System epoxy to bond the keels and masts.
Happy Sailing!
