farm fresh not washed or refrigerated will last well over 6 months and no need to turn them just put point down and all is good .

There is a guy I know that is testing longevity and he is up to 18 months now , But says after about a year its best to use them either scrambled or in baked goods. ( they get watery)

here is a video on preserving eggs

Water glassing them will give you years of fresh eggs. You can get a big bag dehydrated lime from Home Depot for about $1/kg.

You can just get real butter in cans instead of the powdered version. I suppose most yachts over provision. I know on our yacht we have a fair collection of canned hotdogs, long life milk, canned vegetables etc that seem to get left over from every cruise we do. But it is a good point to make sure there is enough provisions for emergencies.
Cheers

Re: Provisions for a passage gone wrong

Goodness, I joke to guests that we could pull up this here anchor and sail to Sydney from here without stopping, and not die starving. They laugh, I start lifting up the cabin sole. No joke. It's a cruising boat so I'm not worried about weighing her down, and it just feels real good to be full-on apocalypse stocked with canned, dried and frozen food (and the elements of food), spices, and alcohol at all times

Do not forget sugar and corn!

You'll need some moonshine while drifting the oceans...

You can also pack a bunch of MREs (Meals Ready to Eat), same stuff the soldiers use. There are some that are pretty dam good, pack small and heat in their own bag. I've used these guys before - https://omeals.com/

4 cases of Chef Boyardee canned ravioli as your emergency provisions, donate it to a local homeless shelter if you arrive and never needed it!
