does anyone know of vacuum insulated pressure cooker with 12 power? I was thinking to take a solar tube and stick a 12 volt electric heater in it, and modify the plug to hold some pressure. That way it can also work in sunlight, or as a hybrid electric.


I can say my electric cooker not vacuum insulated, or pressurized uses 5-6 amps and takes 40 minutes to cook for one meal. I think it could be less than half this power.

I think such a device could be a brilliant addition to the galley of all kinds of different cruising boats. Slow cooking requires minimal amounts of power if only you can get the insulation right. I'll be following to see if anyone comes up with something.
