found it right where it was described in the manual, either it makes a differences on how you lay down on the sole to look under the stove or it is beer related as to why it wasn't there when I first looked

LOL. Glad you found it. Mine is still going strong after 30 years (not original battery, I mean the ingniter system). The jets are a bit fidly, though.
