Warm water bound

Hello Everyone! I've lived up here near Seattle for the past 18 years, but it's time to make a move to a warmer clime. I looking at re-locating down to Belize with a possible stop-over near Tampa where my brother has a 30ft monohull. I'm brand new to sailing, but as you all know, it's pretty infectious. So long term, I might be able to achieve my ultimate goal of being carbon nuetral and have a lot of fun by living and travelling on possibly a 10 meter cat. We'll see what the future brings.

Welcome.

It's a wonderful and realistic dream. For some good logs from northerners who have done it go here:

Aloha Miss Denise,
Welcome aboard!! Hope you enjoy this forum. Please ask questions if you have any and we'll ask questions too. Carbon neutral? Hmmmm. Takes carbon to build a solar panel. Aren't we carbon? You'll be able to lower emissions while sailing in warm climates but energy is always needed if nothing else to light navigation lights.
Kind Regards,
JohnL

Welcome, Miss Denise...
The advice you receive on the cruisers forum is worth exactly what you pay for it!
But you will find many who are happy to share their knowledge and advice with you... it is a great group of cruisers with more experience than any one individual could have.
Good luck and fair winds..
Phil

A bit late for that welcome. She hasn't shown up around here again since 1 Dec 2007.

This is now the record holder for the longest revival I’ve seen, 11y4-1/2m.
