Salutations

I'm new to the forum and just wanted to introduce myself. After living in South Florida, I recently retired and moved to Central Florida. My seventeen-year old son lives with his mother in South Florida, and I see him every other weekend, so I'm going to be living here for another year until he finishes high school. Then...I'm planning on taking the plunge that I've wanted to for the past twenty years. I'm planning on buying a sailboat and living aboard for a few years. My son is going to take a "gap year" between high school and college and we're going to sail together for a year. I know many will think I'm crazy, but I've never been on a sailboat in my life. Over the next year, I'm going to obtain a lot of training and gain several levels of certification before setting out. I've done a ton of reading, here and elsewhere, and I intend to ask a thousand questions here before I set sail. Wish me luck!

Re: Salutations

Aloha and welcome aboard!
It's a good thing that you've decided to take lessons. How are you doing on them?
