Thats the shot! You won't be dissappointed there are plenty of selections to work your way through but the Red is my favourite.

I guarantee that IT TASTES NOTHING LIKE VEGEMITE so don't be scared

I look forward to your report after your sampling.

errgh

Bundy rum is petrol (IMO) compared to its more refined "Pot stilled" relations

Inner Circle Rum

Bounty Rum

Four Bells Rum

The Captain is a good standby if I cant get the above

Sure am, which is why Inner circle was 1 on my list

Inner Circle Rum was not made for you. It was made by the Company Directors of Australia's Colonial Sugar Refinery way back in the day so they could enjoy perfectly smooth rum for themselves, their inner circle, and not you.

I've never come across Inner Circle - didn't know it was an Aussie rum - I'll have to give it a try.

Is it wrong of me to think that "sailor jerrys" might be missing from the mix, or is that stuff just to cliche'?

You guys Down Under are really upside down when it comes to rum selection. You need to come somewhere north of the Equator where real sailors drink ONLY:

Mt. Gay Eclipse
and
Mt. Gay Extra Old

On our boat we prefer Cruzan from one place to another.

I'll stick to Pussers Rum.... enjoy ginger ale most of time but also like the hotter ginger beers and both with a shake or two of Angostura aromatic bitters and a nice size lime slice!

I also do not leave port with out the Captain aboard.

+1 For "Sailor Jerry's" Rum. It's worth seeking out.

I know, I know, but we all have our little secrets..

When in Thailand

Very popular with the cruising crowd and does not break the budget.
A case of 12 x 375ml bottles sells for around USD $35.

SangSom

Goes well with Thai food

Cheers
