Newbie to the Forum

Hi All,

My name is Sani. Live in Buffalo where I've done most of my sailing in Lake Erie. Looking to move to the West Coast next year, so will soon be looking to upgrade my 25' Cal as well as my sailing skills.

Anyhow, sure the forum will be full of great info.

Also, have this crazy thought of honey mooning in Greece next year. But details and questions about that will be somewhere else in the Forum.

Thanks,

Hey... welcome, Sani... glad to have you with us.
Be careful sailing in Greece... I took my ex there before we were married and through a haze of retsina, proposed. Five years of bells and banjos then it was time to move on. Maybe if you get married BEFORE you go, you'll have better luck! Cheers, Capt Phil

Re: Newbie to the Forum

Hey Sani,

Let me also welcome you. If you've been sailing on Lake Erie you're ready for anything. Our family is from Cleveland and the stuff that lake threw at us was amazing. Regarding Capt Phil's comments, he may have a point. I didn't get the girlfriend until after the boat. If she didn't like the boat or cruising, bye bye. Timing is everything.

Kinda of like the redneck thing. There's my dog, my truck, and my girlfriend. In that order.

Welcome,
Rich

Hi Sani, and welcome,
Your mention of Buffalo reminded me of when we still lived in Toronto;
Just about every evening, Buffalo Channel 7 News would begin by telling us that “There is a major fire in North Tonawanda”, can’t be much left of that town by now I guess…

James

Re: Newbie to the Forum

haha.... well totally appreciate the advice...

Capt phil and Cabo_Sailor: First date with the future Mrs was on my sailboat. In my excessive enthusiasm and excitement, threw out the anchor with the chain attached to it but not the line (apparently... done by everyone at some point in their life!.. the equivalent of the dreaded "it happens to everyone honey").
She's still here, so that's good

James.. You would be happy to know that Tonawanda is still there...

To all.. thanks for the warm welcome..
