New Boaters Without a Boat

Hi everybody!
To my shame I have to admit that I just now read my whole Welcome Message...
So here comes my introduction. I'm Wim, my wife is Anja and we are ex-boaters, who sold our old steel Vanguard 9.2 sailing monohull yacht to emigrate from the Netherlands to Suriname, South America. That was seven years ago. Next year our last descendant will leave the nest to study overseas (we have three kids), and because I translate books and Anja is studying psychology, we are not bound to a certain place. The sea is calling very hard and we can't wait to have a boat again! We are planning to live on it (preferably a cat, but a monohull is also a good option) and do some real sailing.
But first we need to sell our house, so we'll have to wait a while before we can take steps toward our floating palace/shed (depends on the financials)
I like this forum, learn a lot from you people and have already had some important questions answered. And I hope in time I will be able to my part.
Hey, if I ever say something stupid or accidently offend one of you, please tell me straight in my face, okay?
Wim
