I'm new here

Hi all, I have been sailing a bit, some say all my life but not yet. 45 years so far. Former U.S.C.G 100 ton with sail and towing. Former because we moved inland for our disabled daughter (could not keep up my sea time). I worked professionally on boats from 53' to 160' for over 20 years. From deckhand to captain. I owned and operated an offshore fishing charter business out of Ft. Lauderdale Florida for a while. I lived on a 20' sailboat for over 2 years from Canada to Bahamas when I was younger. I sailed mostly singlehanded. I'm brushing up on my Celestial Navigation. I used to be pretty good. I'm still practicing. My Wife Daughter and I are planning on extensive cruising (hopefully a circumnavigation). We will be living aboard soon. Got my sights on one now. Anyway Nice to be here looks like a real good group. Thanks for having us.

Oh by the way My birthday is not 1-1-80 I'm older. Thanks All

Welcome to the group. Keep us abreast of your plans as they unfold. There are plenty of us here still living vicariously having not quite cut the lines yet.

Thank You All !!! Glad to be here. Yer right, I have quite a few tales to share. Hoping to have the boat of my dreams in about 3 weeks. Then to get her home. Fingers crossedXX. She'll need a bit of work but don't they all.

Adelie A house is but a boat so poorly built and so firmly run aground no one would think to try and refloat it.

I saw that from you a few months ago. I LOVE IT !!!! I've been quoting you ever since only verbally tho.
