Hi! Hailing from South Alabama and Ready to Crew!!!

It's been a while since I sold my last boat (22' trailer sailor) and I'm dying to get back out on the water! I just found this forum and hope to meet some likeminded folk.

Re: Hi! Hailing from South Alabama and Ready to Crew!!!

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone!!! I am looking forward to the warmer weather as well, and hopeful that I'll be crewing soon.

The 22' boat I had was a Hunt. Very similar to the Catalina. I think Hunt may have designed for Catalina, at some point. It was a very quick little boat. Fun and easy to sail. It was my first. I had never stepped foot on a sailboat 'til I bought that one. I fell in love with sailing through stories of Robin Graham, Tor Pinney, and Joshua Sloccum.

After researching (a lot!) and studying a little 'Sailing for Dummies' type book, I just bought the boat and hoisted sail! What a day!!! It was like I'd been sailing all my life. Even maneuvered back into it's slip under sail.

No doubt about it, I'm hooked for life!
