Cool help!!! looking for the right boat

hello everyone,

seems this forum is what my husband and i have been looking for. we have been planning to buy a blue water cruiser for sometime now and our brains are tired. there is soooooooo many nice boats out there. we have been looking at the Bayfield 29, the Allmand 31, and numerous Morgans.

we each have our specific needs; i want a full keel, nice galley and cockpit area, he wants; a sloop or cutter rig that is super strong.

we're looking at 20 year olds or newer, but we didn't win the lottery so Pacific Seacraft or Island Packets are out!!!!!

thanks so much, any info will be appriciated,

bob & deb

It would also be helpful if you could explain a bit more about your goals,

It would help if you talked a bit about where you plan to sail, what appeals to you about the particular models that you mention (all three of which were pretty poorly built and mediocre sailing but roomy and cheap to buy), how much of a budget do you have in mind, how much sailing experience you have, etc. that would give us a better picture of what sort of boats would make sense to recommend to you.

Respectfully,
Jeff

May I suggest a CSY33?

Heavy boats with plenty of room and storage area.

Very comfortable to live on.

Prices range from 20s for the tired ones up to almost 60 for the few that have been completely refurbished and maintained.

Some info on these boats over at
