Hello From Vienna / Austria

Hello everyone!

As a student I started with sailing in the Med. My preferred sailing areas were the Greek Islands, Adriatic Sea and the Balearic Islands. Than I had a long break, due to my business.

After many years I started with my wife cruising rivers and canals in France, Netherlands, Germany and the Venetian Lagoon.

We were infected with the cruising lifestyle and wanted more, a boat and back to the sea. So we started to search for a trawler. This was mor difficult than expected, because full displacement trawlers are not very common in Europe.

Why a trawler? With a trawler we can live the sailor's cruising lifestyle in a power boat.

By chance we found our "dream boat", a Selene 40 Ocean Trawler, a demonstrator of Selene North Europe.

The home port of DODO is Vienna / Austria, but she is berthed in Leeuwarden / Netherlands. We have only a few miles to the Wadden Sea (Nort Sea) with its beautiful Islands.

Welcome. We spent a month in Vienna on a house exchange, and also cruised the canals in the Netherlands. You have a very nice combination! Congratulations on a very nice boat.
