Hello From South Florida

Hello,

I'm a relatively new sail boat owner, have owned her for about 6 months now, in South Florida. I've been sailing smaller boats most of my life but this is my first "real" boat a 38' Tartan. Looking forward to sailing on Biscayne Bay and perhaps cruising in the Keys and the Bahamas as I gain more experience.

Watch out for 4th of July on Biscayne Bay...

5K boats watching fireworks in the dark, then only 5 people killed isn't a lot statistically I guess but sounds scary IMO.

Hawks Channel sure a lotta fun!!!

Re: Hello From South Florida

Thank you everyone!

I've heard that a few weekends a year, 4th of July and Columbus Day mainly it's best to stay at dock. Thankfully my schedule will allow me to sneak in an after work sail on weekday afternoons if I'm lucky and I should have all of Biscayne Bay to myself.
