At last... after months of working our fingers to the bone in London (Ontario), we are on board on the west coast
on our new-to-us sailboat. Too many years have passed from living in BC on the water
to a life on land in central Canada
- and we are both JUST GLAD to be back on board. Even if it's only at the dock
Hmmm. Now to work through all those pesky problems which came up on our first voyage last summer. Most pressing is the water
in the fuel
for which we've installed a system of truck filters on our Perkins
It seems to be working on the reserve tank and the filter is working great. We're now struggling with the filter for the main tank. Nothing is pulling the fuel
up from the main tank. So, we're in the process of switching the feed from the reserve filter to the main filter to make sure the problem isn't the filter itself.
A slow process, but hey - the sun is shining, the water is warm and great for swimming... and if we weren't so lucky, we could still be in on land, or worse, in London!
