Hello from Florida

I'm 29, finally healthy again and looking to change things up, I've been looking into RV's,Scoops,and other low cost of living solutions. I own a apartment that i rent out atm. " moved back home" Now I'm just ready mentally to be a liveaboard.

I'm used to small confined spaces, my mindset on life has always been Less is More.

My main goal is just to find some work, "I really don't want/refuse to go on disability" Soon as i get some steady money coming in "other then Rent".
My Plan is to rent a 30-35ft and just see if i like it, witch other then being sick while tied up, i really don't see that being a problem.

I don't want to set sail and travel the world, Once i took classes the farthest i would go is Bimini and the Bahamas.

My Goal Boat would have a On-Deck Shower. That's about it,"Other then it has to be a Sail boat, really want to use as less fossil fuel as i can"
From everything I've been reading online, people want a shower, But Mold and damp issues in the hull... well i want mine on deck.

Anyhow i could ramble on forever, just got some energy wanted to let this out. Take Care

Welcome to the forum. Most boats have showers inside and later people will add a rinse-off shower somewhere outside. Providing it is warm outside at the time
I used a solar shower on one of my boats for a summer. For obvious reasons, I would only shower at night. Didn't want to scare the locals.

They make a portable gallon-size re-usable water bag with a controllable shower head that you can hang or hold, while showering; made of thick pliable black plastic. Many dive boats have them for a quickie shower rinse after a dive. No plumbing is needed. When left in the sun, water inside the bag can be very hot.

So much information on this website , thanks to places like this, a simple person like myself won't be making costly starting off choices, Being in Florida 16miles north of Miami its pretty much always hot, matter of fact i would want a tiny A/C unit when docked.

Like everyone else i am looking for that perfect 35ft Sailboat for 15k then start off at 8k, and try to get it for 11k cash, due to the fact i know i'm going to to be spending AT LEAST 5k after purchase.

A one gallon water jug works well too for an on deck shower. That's what I use. It's reuseable also, and you can control the flow. Plus, when you buy one, there's already water in it!

I keep several on board. Actually 10 to 20 one gallon jugs plus a 5 gallon container on the bow board.

Welcome. On deck showers are easy. Just get a hand held and affix to your galley sink you will also need a longer hose. Been doing it for years.
