Hello and thanks for having me

I have been told by everyone that I am crazy and unrealistic because I am selling my home to pursue what is not even a "dream" to me. When I was younger I could picture me sailing a yacht to the exotic places of this world. Now I still have this same picture but due to what I am told is "life" began to discredit this future. I have committed my life thus far for others. It is time for me to do me. I have taken a withdrawal from my job to have time to make a few changes to the house so it is worth top dollar. I am hopefully going to get a 90's model lagoon 35+ or similar* not dead set on this. Planning on moving around slowly but surely for no more than 5 years either alone or with whoever will not be a burden and is willing to come. The long-term plan is to get to Madagascar and see the plethora of unique wildlife. Short term is to survive and do this along the way seeing new species, meeting new people and gaining a sense of what the world is like. Not too fond of the way the great US of A is heading... Apologies for the long read, sincerely--- T. Kuhlmann---

Go for it Mr Cat! Too many folks stay in one place and dream but when it comes time to make a definitive move there is work, family, financial commitments, a significant other who suddenly doesn't share that dream even though she has said she did for years.
There is nothing quite as sad as being in your declining years, ill, no energy and saying, 'Gee, I really should have done ...' The rest homes are full of them! Phil

Good luck! I am doing the same for the next year or so. I've been a school teacher for 25 years have taken next school year off so I can sail from June of this year until August 2017. After that, who knows?
