Greetings to everyone from Cape Town South Africa, what a wonderfull and informative site. I always had this big dream to sail one day but it sounded so overwhelming, anyways actions speak louder than words. I decided to accomplish this over a 5 year period, yeas i have no sailing experience, I will start from scratch and work my way up to offshore skipper.
Hopefully in 5 years i can go on early retiremnet and plan a world cruise.

The downside to yachting in South Africa is that the yachts are 3 times more expensive than in the USA, i will explore ways to overcome that by purchasing a yacht in the USA and plan the world cruise from there, not sure about all the red tape waiting but thats for later.

Thanks for a wonderfull and very informative website, I love the humor too.
