Boat Name

Hello All,

New here and hoping this is the place for feedback on boat name suggestions. We purchased a 22ft pontoon boat with 115hp motor. It's docked at our home on the bay. We are considering two names; "On Baycation" and "Slowin Stedy". Yes, I know stedy is misspelled. What are your thoughts? Thanks!!

Re: Boat Name

Never seen a Baycation, but I have seen lots of Slow-n-Steady's spelled different ways of course, usually Trawlers

Re: Boat Name

Whatever you decide to call your boat do the MayDay test first.

That is how does it sound in an emergency situation, can it be understood over a radio to someone for whom English is not their first language, can it be misunderstood or mis-interpreted.

The Admiral and I had considered some Gaelic names for our boat but when it came time to actually say them over a radio we thought better of it as we didn't want to be spelling it every time.

Both your suggestions work but "Slowin Stedy" would be one of those you might end up having to spell all the time.

Just my thoughts, however you name it is up to you. Important thing is though to enjoy

Keiron
