Aloha !
Hello to everyone out there as foolish as I to buy a boat. :-) I am new to this site, been sailing for more decades then I want to remember. I live in Hawaii, onboard a Catalina 38, named 'The Grand Illusion", yes, named after the Styx album, the one with "Come Sail Away".

I saw Styx in concert right after that album in '78. More decades ago than I want to think about!

And yes, we all share the boating insanity here!

A 14-foot mini-cruiser is minimalist. A 19ft is comfortable, and anything much larger than a 25 borders on ostentatious.

Good to have you here. I too lived aboard in Pearl Harbor '81 to '84. Things were different then. Wasn't any bridge.
