8 Years later...

Hi all!

Eight years and three days ago, while sitting in the "Green Zone," in Iraq I posted this: http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...dad-12457.html

Wow does time fly. Well allow me to reintroduce myself My name is Pat and after 8 years of planning, sweat and tears, I find myself on the precipice of going cruising: just closed on 'Ohana(Lagoon 450) and I'm packing up to head out to the Caribbean and start cruising.

Like everyone else here, my journey started with a dream. The plan didn't work out the way I thought it would, but the dream remains.

So here is a heartfelt THANK YOU to the CF community. I'm certain that there are other lurkers out there like me planning away and being inspired by the community.

Expect the best!
P

Yep, it takes a lot of planning and doing, and then, in some ways before you're ready for it, it's time to go!

Congratulations!

Thank you for your service and congratulations on your soon departure into your new life. You have certainly earned it. Not everyone can take that idea and do the hard stuff that has to happen to make it a reality.

Re: 8 Years later...

So glad that you made it out of Iraq in one piece, and that your dreams have become reality... so few dreamers turn out to be do-ers. So, well done, Pat, and enjoy the life.
