World Boat

Just pondering the sources of some of the components of my boat.

Design - Colvin, USA
Hull Construction - Canada
Engine - Yanmar, Japan
Propeller - Osborne, Canada
Anchor - Manson, New Zealand
Anchor - Forfjord, USA
Chain - ACCO, USA/?
Windlass - Simpson Lawrence, UK
Cook Stove - Origo, Sweden/E. Europe
Furnace - Dickinson, Canada
Fire Extinguishers - Mexico
Sails - Hasse, USA
Blocks - Holland
Lines - New England Rope, USA/?
Batteries - Dyno, USA
Plotter - Garmin, USA/Asia
Autopilot - Raymarine, UK/Asia
Lights - Bebi, Fiji

Lots of outsourcing and constant changes (manufacturing moving to Asia etc.) but clearly the boating industry is a global effort. Pretty Cool I think.
