Hick-yups will do that.

Stay healthy and watch out for low flying pumpkins.

Re: The Mallorca Squad

It's been in the mid 90's for the past week and the forcast continues for mid 90's for this next week here in Portisco, Sardinia. Way too hot in the marina, but just fine out here in the anchorage.

Today it's 34.5 degrees C which is 94 F

Don't need it. There's a nice breeze over the water, the boat remains water temperature inside, Oyster front facing windows open up and we live wearing less clothing than land dwellers. Also go swimming a few times daily. Will be doing some refinishing work on the decks for a few hours today, then all day Sunday.

We have a/c but never use it.

Might be an idea to run it from time to time to make sure everything is working......
When I was in Florida, I made sure to test the A/C every day on the water to ensure it was fine

Re: The Mallorca Squad

We are at anchor in Santa Ponsa again. No AC; no need as long as you stay out of the marinas, IMHO.

You can sure tell it's high season, and a weekend! This large anchorage was pretty full today.

Re: The Mallorca Squad

Just a 70ft Swan on one side and an Oyster 625 Delicia next to them, otherwise the entire cove to ourselves. More elbow room here in Sardinia.

I am sure there is. Mallorca is more of a international tourist destination. I love it in winter....
Empty.

Re: The Mallorca Squad

Well damn. Back on the ground. Back to sweatshirts & moccasins. And the wx says the temps won't get above 23 this entire week, and with five days with rain in that week.

Sure wish I was participating in the Elba meet-up today, where it is undoubtedly warm & more fun than cleaning the patio.

Re: The Mallorca Squad

This first part of the year has gone in a flash. Im nearly writing off the 2nd half as being all work and no play as well.

Seems everyone I know has been in the wars or something interfered. Not to mention the troubles of Greece and other EU countries and Iran and ......... you get the picture.

2 of my 30 something (age) female friends in Mallorca are teachers, and have been brushing up on their English because now without a cert in the language, they will not be able to teach... and salaries have not moved at all.

Tough times.
