Right on both counts!

I can tell ya... If I've got whisky and bailey's in my coffee... I'm nowhere even close to a keyboard...

It was anchored out in Grand Traverse Bay west side all summer. It's significant because no [U]no one does this![U], Its a long bay and if the wind is out of the east or west your fine, even a south wind is ok. When the wind comes from the north its a hellish scene. My sailing friend when in Traverse City this summer on his trip. Saw the boat and commented on the fact that it was anchored with no one aboard for days. Also that his anchor line seemed to be floating!!! That's right he used polypropylene rope as an anchor line! No chain from what my friend saw. The water there is clear and visibility to 40ft isn't a problem. He also had a line from the stern to the sea wall so the boat could not swing into the wind... . All in all some pretty basic mistakes for someone supposedly heavily involved in the sailing community. Many in downtown Traverse City commented on who would leave their boat there and why in that arrangement.
He should move to city marina, boot key harbor in marathon florida hahaha, he'd fit right in with the local crowd there with his brand of logic/integrity/moral compass.

Plenty of toilet boats in Florida keys people give away so he'd be back in business in no time and boot key harbor is where broke people without means tend to congregate.

I'm pretty good at fixing things but I'm pretty sure whatever that sludge that has flooded the bilge to the top and seems to be in the engine compartment is will win the battle.
LMAO....in Florida keys we call that situation "sank on the hard" hahaha

Why those people pay and keep paying and let a boat go to the elements instead of getting out from under the liability I'll never understand? Situations like this why I wanna see recent interiors/bilge areas before I take a trip to the yard to see them.

Re: Post the Worst "For Sale" Picture You've Seen.

Here's one we've seen on craigslist fl keys for awhile...they're totally insane IMO, being retired I sometimes go look at these boats for laughs...when I emailed to initiate seeing the vessel they replied they couldn't find the title LOL...asked me to email again later giving them time to find said title...I'm assuming they inherited the vessel on a property deal? (Very common in fl to inherit derilict boat on a short)

That looks like another candidate for "the most expensive boat you will ever own is the one you get for free." They would have to pay ME, to get me to take it off their hands!

How much you think you will get for it?
Best of luck. If the ad is honest it is a pretty nice boat.

Boat: So many boats to choose from. Would prefer something that is not an AWB, and that is beachable...

HA HA!!!

That's AWESOME!

And JUST about a TON!
Hard to tell, but looks like 3/4... and 3 sheets long...
Assuming 12 sheets ripped for the sides, 12 for the bottom and 3 for the back....

That's 27 sheets x 80 lb = 2160lb!

Wonder what it weighs saturated???

She'd be water tight (for a while) once she swells up.

Re: Post the Worst "For Sale" Picture You've Seen.

Well some one has just paid £25 ($40) for that

I suppose if you had a chipper and a wood burner you would be quids in. Otherwise the kids have just gained a great sand pit.
