Rick,
That could come in real handy here in the Philippines after a typhoon.

This is the road in front of our house after last month's storm.

Question Marine push-me-pull-you [wanted :) ]

A real 'push-me-pull-you' - when tacking,the masts turned and it just
continued moving 'stern ahead'. Made no big difference, though - because
both ends were alike.

Was built here, in Latvia, about 10 years ago - have not heard of it ever since.

Might anyone know something about this vessel ?

well, it's a design by German pilot (literally) Horst Sammler, http://www.dieproa.de

Was built by our guys in 2003-2007 http://baiksboats.lv/.

Had 3 sliding masts, 4 (!) steering stations, meant to reach 30+ knots...
Left Baltic waters in 2007 - heard nothing about since then;
There are some traces in the net - but websites look abandoned

Hoped that fellow sailors might know something... or even meet THAT on waterways...

Not that one, but I see lots of "push-me-pull-you" vessels sailing just about every weekend.

It's great to see them tack. They come up into irons, grab the steering oar run up to what is currently the bow, then swing, the sail fore and aft and take off again in the opposite direction.
