re: The Mallorca Squad

Aw, not to worry folks. Temps in the mid teens & sunny all week. The snow will be gone & the tourists on the patios in no time.

re: The Mallorca Squad

Since Gary's updating his photos, I thought I'd update mine. Here's the latest view from the front and back windows here in Whoville, MA. The piles have grown.

Mrs. Kenomac and I had a lovely dinner with Dockhead and his friend in Cambridge, MA last evening. We had the roads all to ourselves during the storm.

Good news... I got the green light from the Mrs. to extend our Med stay this coming season into October, beginning possibly in mid May. Her idea..."quit your dumb extra job." We're up to 4-5 months now! Yippy!

A quick 'biznezz' visit.
Dinner in Palma at Bri on the first night.
Some tapa and beer on the second.

Some nice boats in the marina.

Thanks for the post of our marina Weavis! That's from the webcam on top of the Auditorium. Looks a little damp; perhaps a hot rum would be more in order than the San Miguel?

I took my own vid of the marina but being dark it was like looking at a black screen with dots of light. I was testing out my new axis stabilzer with the SJCAM-brilliant kit but the camera still needs light..

Landed at mid day, meetings till 8:30pm.. dinner.. bed.... meetings all the next day..got to Marina at 7pm ish.... a look around.... beer and tapas and then flew out early morning and home to the real cold and wet and darkness.

I didnt know you were in that marina....... ! A little over my budget on a yearly basis, but oh so very handy for everything.!!

re: The Mallorca Squad

At the rate we're going, this thread may become relevant again as July approaches!

I read your other thread on the SJCam 4000s and that got me excited about the idea of getting one. Are you still happy with them? I'm not interested in video but would like to be able to take a not-too-expensive camera in the water and that seems like a good choice for me.

Im really happy with the quality of the camera. As a video the footage is sharp.
You will need to 'normalise' the 170 degree angle in some shots. I use the defishr program.

These are taken with the camera in the SJCAM. I used it in the waterproof case to show you the clarity. Not the best on camera but certainly not the worst.

Here is low pic light of Jerry. Really dark in here without the lights on. First one is in fisheye, and second after normalising.

Here is an outside shot taken last week and normalised.

re: The Mallorca Squad

When you come over to Sardegna for a visit this summer, can you bring along a leg of prosciutto? It's now official, we'll be over there from May 13 until October 16.

Thanks

Ken

re: The Mallorca Squad

Told the girls this morning in the staff meeting it would soon be time for me to move on from the hectic schedule Ive created. Enough is enough, Ive fulfilled all obligations that existed and its time to throw in the towel and remove the shackles of a town clinic. It will take a while but the decision is made in my mind.
I dont know if it will take me to full time Med living in the next couple of years but it gives me the opportunity to consider it. The world is a changing place these days and the next few months will be exciting and frightening all at the same time.

You're the expert. Bring the good stuff we tasted last summer at your restaurant.

re: The Mallorca Squad

Cats are great. I have Jerry, a Siamese, and his brother Tom, a regular cat. Their mother was diddled independently by a Siamese and a fly by night opportunist..... born brothers identical in colouring.

I will miss them if I move. Jerry is not a traveler. He poops in the car. He didnt like being on the water on the boat so thats out.

Oh well, They are both 11 now so Ill be here for another year. We will see.
