Enjoy Heights?

This guy has a lot more nerves (and other things) than me.

A video guaranteed to make your hands sweat. [VIDEO]

Re: Enjoy Heights?

Its funny, some types of heights freak me out and other types I have no problem with. I can look straight down out of an airplane window at 40,000 feet and have no fear but get me on a step ladder at 12 feet and I get really nervous.

Re: Enjoy Heights?

Very impressive but most here are fairly removed from that type of activity due to lack of skill and experience, although I have done my share of rock climbing. My point is that being removed from that activity makes it a little less scarey for me. This other video is totally different as any of us could do it given enough nerve. Coming upon someone going the opposite direction would be "exciting"

That one is totally on my bucket list. Hopefully in the next 5 years! Just to say I accomplished it. They need a T-shirt proclaiming it too!

Re: Enjoy Heights?

don't you just hate it when you regain consciousness in places like that? One of the reasons I quit drinking.

Re: Enjoy Heights?

Not to minimize the skill of the climber in the video above, but there is just no comparison to watching the legendary Dan Osman (who died at age 35 when a rope failed at Yosemite.)

Re: Enjoy Heights?

Don't do videos, but assume they're about climbing. One of my favorite books is "And Not to Yield", by James Ramsey Ullman,
James Ramsey Ullman - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia , who had several of his books made into movies.
"Beyond his mountaineering books, he wrote "Where the Bong Tree Grows," an account of a year he spent traveling through some of the most remote islands of the South Pacific."

("And Not to Yield" is also a partial quote from Ulysses Ulysses (poem) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia )

I no longer have a "bucket list". I do how ever have a new list. And it rhymes.
