Bought our boat 2 years ago and it's been on the hard awaiting retirement. Finally retired and are fixing it up. We named it Sea Notes. Is she ever living up to that name.

I once owned a Farr 5000 that I called 'TIN LADY'.
Quite a few asked why I picked that name for a fibreglass boat.
In Australia its a thing amongst Farr boat owners to incorporate 'FAR' in their boats name.

"The Passing Wind" used to be the name of the social club at the Bermuda Biological Station.

In Australia its a thing amongst Farr boat owners to incorporate 'FAR' in their boats name.

My favorite was the guy from (the Sydney suburb of) Kernell who named his the "Farr Kernell"

Re: Catchy or Witty Boat Names

When we were at Marina Island in Pangkor, Malaysia, there was a boat named 'Sotally Tober'.

Fair winds and calm seas.

Small point, it's Kurnell. Still works though.

I know a bloke with a big Bertie that he calls "See Mystress".

After a bad day at work, you can see it on him too.

Re: Catchy or Witty Boat Names

Was thinking maybe "Floater" for the boat and "Fartleberry" for the dink - except my heirs might like to be able to sell them some time.

Steal them if you like, I don't care, I got loads
