So sad, but at least he passed doing something he loved.

Don't be sad, make a toast to the passing of another legend.

Doing things that make you happy...

I met an 83 year old gentleman the other day when I stopped to inquire about his '74 Seafarer 31'. Beautiful boat. He still sails out to our barrier islands and stays alone for a few days. He said he should quit doing that, and that he doesn't want to cause the Coast Guard any problems if something happened to him. I told him there's no reason to stop doing what you love! I hope I'm that active when I'm in my 70s and 80s.

Fully agree. A coast guard rescue should the least of the concerns.
