Tarpon Basin, looks like a few liveaboards there. Good dinghy dock at Goverment Center. Water, trash, pumpout boat, parking and bike rack

Re: Liveaboard Key Largo

Gilbert's Marina, Pilothouse Marina, Marina del Mar, Holiday Inn Marina...... some are pretty pricey. Tarpon Basin is better protected than Blackwater Sound or Buttonwood Sound for living on the hook Although the ends of the public roads at the water provide public access, dinghy security can be a problem. We have stayed for three months at a time in Sunset Cove (part of Buttonwood Sound), but that was not "off to work" on a schedule.

Re: Liveaboard Key Largo

It should have been said that all these places on the "Bayside" are only available for drafts under 5.5' or maybe best no more than 5.0'. With a greater draft on the oceanside Rodriquez Key is not an alltime protected anchorage and the only safe option would be oneof the marinas.
