On the hook, Dinner Key. The few marinas that allow liveaboards are charging 20 plus a foot.

That I don't know, Carlos. Maybe the marina in Government Cut if you're getting a powerboat.

Carlos, Try searching at www.docksearch.com and you'll find some of the best opportuniues. Usually the most competitive prices are in Fort Lauderdale.

Re: Live aboard SoFlorida

Carlos,

I live aboard in South Florida, marinas are pricey but some can be found for around 12 per foot per month. I have a 35' trawler I am thinking of selling, good boat twin diesels, generator air conditioning etc. I am in Ft Lauderdale if you are interested. I used to live aboard near Punta Gorda, Burnt Store Marina. Do not know if they still allow liveaboards but lots of anchorages and small marinas in that area.

Re: Live aboard SoFlorida

Take a look up the Miami River. The dockage can get pretty reasonable the further up you go. I know a fellow who lived behind a house on NW 20 Street near 37th Avenue. I think there are several live aboards along that stretch. I know another couple who live aboard a beautiful old wooden sport fish in the old Bertram Yacht shed. That would be a very secure place to leave your boat when you're not around.
