Dinghy chaps Grenada

Can anyone recommend a maker of covers for our inflatable dinghy tubes (chaps) here in Grenada? We have looked at making our own but without a sewing machine we won't be trying to! Our old PVC dinghy is getting uncomfortably sticky and a new Hypalon replacement is beyond our budget for now. Thanks

Re: Dinghy chaps Grenada

We had one made by Johnny (actually his son does this type of work) - the old local canvas/sail guy there. It came out perfect - one of the best made covers we have seen on any dinghy.

HOWEVER, it also cost us 2 times more than he told us it would and was delivered 3 weeks later than told (and that only after we hounded him down and refused to leave his shop for days until he got it done).

So it is bittersweet with us - a lovely perfect product that was a real expensive and long pain to acquire.

Thanks for the reply. I had just found his details when I got your message. Good to hear of your experience with him. I will bear this in mind when we talk business!
