There are a number of cats that fall into this price sector regularly. Think Prouts and the older Dean 33 (Not the 365). A friend bought a Prout 37 a couple of years ago within this budget in the Eastern Med and its a great boat.

A 37-38ft cat is plenty big enough to live on. About 3 weeks ago a cat of this size was listed on the forum for $40,000. It has been setting on the hard for about 6 years. If I would have had 40 grand setting around I would have bought it myself. Deals are out there and you have time to look.
