Updating electronic charts
I have charts on one of my plotters which are dated 1999. I have no electronic way of updating these C-Map charts and carry corrections based on looking at my paper charts and having a separate log of significant differences.
I am sure that 17 years later there are newer systems which allow the updating from Notices to Mariners directly to the plotter via a USB from the internet.
Can anyone please give me their experiences of updating their charts in this latest world of technology?
