For Sale: PUR/Katadyn Survivor 35 Watermaker

Military surplus, never used. Still in original packing. These are years old but look brand new. I did a group buy on these a few years ago and a couple of the members (I will mention no names and both are long gone anyway) backed out and I ended up with two spares that have been taking up space in my garage.

They are still pickled with the original factory membranes and probably/might work as is. I have read of old, pickled membranes that were good for many years BUT this is emergency, life support equipment and it would behoove one to test it thoroughly and replace membranes and seals if needed before stowing it in the emergency ditch bag.

New unit from Defender $2,274.99 (or in sailor's language $2,275).

To rebuild this unit would take:
- membrane $430.00
- seal kit $130.00

So for $810 and shipping you could have a like new, never used unit.

Disclaimer - To the best of my knowledge and according to information from a Katadyn rep this is the same as the newest model and the rebuild should make the unit like new.

IF, it is necessary to rebuild I think the unit would essentially be brand new.
I have one I'm keeping that I will keep sealed until I'm ready for an ocean crossing (not this year ) but I was told by a Pur/Katadyn expert that it is possible that the membrane is still good but have to open it up and test it to determine.
