My chain jammed and the shaft on one of the compound gears sheered.
Looking for Gen 1 Lewmar pro series 1000 for parts... does not need to work.

Or, if you happen to have part# 66500037 just hanging around, give me a shout!

I had a Lewmar 1000 25 years ago.

If the pro series is of the same design the gear assembly is considered a sealed unit and they will not sell individual parts. Considering it's age I suggest that it is time for a new windlass.

Also based on my experience with Lewmar I suggest switching to a different brand of windlass.

They do sell them, unfortunately, the currently available part (I ordered from Defender) turned out to be for the 3rd generation and the shaft is ever so slightly larger in diameter.

My experience with Lewmar has been different than yours, so will stick with them for now.
