Re: Aerogen 6

I’ve been given this contact twice. I’ve not needed it but it’s the best shot.

Secondly, I was considering replacing my Aerogen 6 with a D400. I spoke to a marine distributor I found online and he said a D400 will work with an Aerogen. I would presume the opposite would also be true.

Re: Aerogen 6

Aerogen 6 and D400 (can) use the same regulator. I can supply model number when I get back to my boat later this week.

Re: Aerogen 6

Or make your own reg. Not hard. Plenty of home brews online.

I’ve got the older Aerogen reg WITHOUT adjustable voltage. A bit of a pain. Once the battery bank gets over 13.6 volts the reg starts dumping power into the resistors. I got around it by making my own reg using a picaxe chip.

Re: Aerogen 6

I’m starting to think D400 and Aerogen6 are very, very similar. Both sold by the same distributor.

Somewhere someone said the D400 was not easily serviceable. My Aerogen 6 seems to be very servicable.

Re: Aerogen 6

D400 is supplied with an LVM regulator, in my case model 6TB (for charging 2 battery banks). See picture.
I got also a Aerogen 4 model that came with an LVM regulator model 4TB.
Maybe "TB" stands for twin batteries?
