Lately, I've been listening to a group called Goldfrapp (Allison Goldfrapp, I suppose). Their music is pretty diverse, but always gives me the same dreamy feeling that I get when on the water. I can find songs for morning, noon, and night as well as calm, rough, and anchored. While I can find something to appreciate in nearly all music, this band has a trippy, hypnotic appeal that I especially enjoy...this week anyway.

I like them so much that Frank is doomed to hate them.

Gilbo and Rhosyn Mor at least list bands I know. I would like to add E.L.O., Marillion, Supertramp, Golden Earring (Dutch band!), the Stones, Guns 'n Roses and yes, even Tina Turner.

The rougher the sea, the rougher and louder the music!

Jimmy Buffet? Never even heard of him, totally unknown outside US I guess.

'Sailin' by Cecilio and Kapono makes me want to hop on my boat and sail over the horizon. In fact not just want to, we did it. They have a lot of great songs but this one has had the most effect on my ailing. Wooden Ships by C,S, and N is also a great sailing song.
