Extreme thread drift here. I didn't remember 555 as a beer in Vietnam. It might be now but back in the 60s I don't have firm memory of it.

Ba Moui Ba (33) was my favorite there because the Budweiser tasted like nasty preservatives and two would give me a headache. I guess when they shipped it in to VN for the GIs they didn't want it going bad in the hot sun. So it was ok to put formaldehyde in it. Afterall it was just for the U.S. Forces.
